I believe that it is important to learn how to learn and not just learn facts. I think children should be able to learn at their own pace and in their own time, which is why I chose to homeschool my children. I love being able to allow my daughters to pursue their interests and learn through living books and life experiences.
I live on a hobby farm in the Upstate of SC and have been homeschooling my daughters for 11 years. Family is very important to me, and I cherish the opportunity to spend each day learning together. I am thankful for being blessed with an amazingly supportive husband who has lovingly encouraged me throughout my family's homeschool journey.
I am a graduate of Clemson University, and I have a SC teaching certificate in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Middle School Math. Prior to becoming a mom, I taught middle school math in the Upstate of SC. I have worked in several learning centers and was also a SAT test facilitator.
My goal as director of TSCHAA is to provide outstanding service and support to all members throughout their homeschool journey. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way.
